Unthinkable corpses, corpses unthought. Jean-Marc Dreyfus has co-edited (with Élisabeth Anstett) Cadavres impensables, cadavres impensés (Paris: éditions Pétra, 2012) as part of the Corpses of Mass Violence project. This volume brings together contributions from historians, lawyers and anthropologists who examine why human remains and corpses remain unthought of and taboo even in the context of genocide and extreme violence.
