Jewish resistance by music. The Martin Harris Centre for Music and Drama at the University of Manchester is hosting an international conference on the topic of 'Music under German Occupation 1938-1945: Complicity and Resistance'. Jewish Studies related papers include '(Re)visiting the Archive of Gideon Klein – Terezín ghetto, 1941-1944' by David Fligg (Leeds), '"Ich wandre durch Theresienstadt": In Search of Ilse Weber' by Mirjam Frankand (NYU), and "Hungarian musical life in the shadow of Nazism" by Agnes Kory (Manchester).
