George Brooke will give a paper entitled 'Aspects of Education in the Sectarian Scrolls from the Qumran Caves', a version of his contribution to George Brooke and Renate Smithuis, eds, Jewish Education from Antiquity to the Middle Ages: Studies in Honour of Philip S. Alexander (Leiden: Brill, 2017). The paper will be followed by a presentation to Philip Alexander.
