Mark Doniger
Anthony Lewis has supplied the following information from research into his family history.
Mark Doniger was a brother of my great-grandfather Louis Doniger. The Donigers came to Manchester from Suwalki in what was then Russian Poland. Two of Mark's sons Harry and Mo founded the Empire Cap Works separate from M. Doniger, Ltd. Mark's nephews (of his brother William/Wolf) came to the US (some via Manchester) and worked in the garment industry. Eventually, his nephew David founded McGregor Sportwear which is still in existence.
