Artist's Corner: Journal Entry 8 by artist Helena Tomlin

This is the eight logpost by artist Helena Tomlin. You can read her previous entries here.

In between my last blog and this one I have been in London celebrating the birth of our grandson.

It has been an emotional time and has made me think again about how objects are often associated with times of great joy. I have been practicing the stitches for the cloths which I am now turning into 'collage' reflecting that maybe these objects will be imbued with a sense of anticipation and joy.

The sketchbook page from yesterday (first illustration) this time looks at how the pieces call back to my original intentions.
